Start with the wording

Check names, terminology and the meaning of each line. A wrong word is still wrong in a beautiful font. Preserve the speaker’s meaning without inventing dialogue.

A second caption layer will duplicate subtitles already burned into a source. Disable the new layer or use a clean source recording.

Choose the size on a phone

A short sentence should be readable without pausing. Larger type helps only while it does not cover the action. Keep lines compact with enough room around the edges.

Check contrast on bright and dark scenes. An outline or shadow may work better than a vivid fill. Highlight words sparingly so the viewer can still follow the video.

Treat custom fonts as project assets

Cliprivo can save an uploaded font in your workspace for later cuts. Use font files whose licence covers your intended use.

Check the full alphabet before exporting a batch. Latin support does not guarantee Cyrillic support. A short review can reveal missing characters early.
