Speech and clips are different results

Transcription produces words and timecodes. Clipping uses them to find and format scenes. A different font, camera crop or moment selection does not by itself require listening to the entire recording again.

Keep the source together with its completed transcript. They provide the foundation for more than one edit.

Read the actual status

Look for the saved-speech state in the source settings. A completed transcript can be reused in full; a partial result may retain finished chunks while the rest continues.

Queued or transcribing does not mean ready. Check the existing job before launching another identical process just to see whether it has finished.

The Transcript ready state confirms that saved text is ready. Queued means waiting, not a completed transcript.

StateWhat it means
Transcript readyThe saved text can be reused
Partially readyCompleted chunks are saved; processing may continue
QueuedReadiness has not yet been confirmed

Know when processing must change

The cache is associated with the source file, model and language. Replacing the video, changing its audio or choosing another model can make the old result unsuitable. Giving a different file the old name does not make it the same source.

Create another cut from the same source when changing the presentation. Review the selected moments and export, and retain the saved speech for your next variation.

This guide explains the workflow. Review your finished clip and permission to use the source before publishing.
